Genetics

 There is a big debate over the gift being passed down in families.  Many people believe that it is passed down through the family.  The opposite side is that you are just born and your family being gifted does not make any difference.

 These are some things I have learned about the subject but will leave you to decide for yourself.

My family seems to pass down through my family.  My great grandmother being a gypsy, passed down to my granddad, then my father and now me.  All my children are gifted and so is my husband. 

My mother’s mother read tea leaves and was the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter.

My dad is gifted but my uncle is not.  I am gifted, my brother is not, my sister has seen Spirit but doesn’t work with Spirit.

My friend is gifted but no one else in her family was except her grandchildren.  Some families only have one gifted person.

My conclusion.  Gifts can be passed down a family but it doesn’t go to anyone, it makes no difference if family are gifted or not.

Please note that every one is born psychic but not everyone will become a medium or healer.

Update

Everyone is able to develop to what level depends on the effort, time and determination, many are called only a few are chosen, many people find it hard or lack of time to be able to put into development, which is why a lot of people don't develop till much later in life when their jobs are more settled and their children are grown. Many start developing then decide to put it to one side till later in life.
