Is Circle Teaching?

 Most people might not agree with me but I will give my reasons why I am asking this question, the ultimate decision will be yours.

 I am not saying circles are bad things, quite the opposite.  I think circles are very important as long as you are in the right circle for you.

A circle should be uplifting and make you feel good, if you feel like this at the end of the circle (or Spiritualist church) then it is probably right for you.  If you feel upset, uncomfortable and agitated all the time then maybe it is time to move on.

This is not a bad thing it just means you have got as much as you can out of that circle, and maybe someone else would be able to benefit more.  I find circles are very hard to get into and there are very few, especially good circles.

 Right back to my point, if you have ever been in a circle then you will have a better understanding than if you have not.

When in circle I found people didn’t tell you what to do, you went away and learned what you needed then went back to circle to practice.  The reason I was told that people don’t answer questions is because they don’t know.  I don’t think this is totally valid, I believe that some people don’t want to tell you because they don’t want you to develop or you to develop more than them.

I don’t feel they explain how things work and usually do the same things, meditation, clairvoyance and healing week after week.  Why not liven it up with games like you write a list of favourites and answer for the person to your right, watch a movie about the supernatural and talk about it.  It doesn’t have to be boring or repetitive.  Invite guests, how often can you give a reading to the same 4 or 5 people or invite someone to speak about healing or crystals, collect jewellery from people you know but who will not be present at the circle.  Sit with the lights on and noise in the background, why?  Because if you have half a dozen kids around you they are not going to be quiet even in a church people make noises.  It is not realistic that you will always have peace and quiet to work.

People don’t want to wait 10 to 15 years to become a medium, they want things now and if you like it or not that is the way it is.

With the Millennium came a new beginning but no one seemed to know what it was the beginning of.  All the children coming down now are old Spirits they have been down before.  People, everyone, are having more and more experiences with Spirit but can’t understand and are usually scared all because no one told them it was their Grandmother in their bedroom or just to tell them to ‘Go away I’m scared’.  It is a sad loss to Spirit because these are the future mediums of the world and they are all too scared to work for Spirit.

Circles and churches are usually what we need at the time but when we move on Spiritually sometimes we move on materially as well, so go to other circles and other churches.  Don't be scared to move on, it is a natural part of developing.

There are too many 'old way' circles and churches as I said before this is not a bad thing but we still need for those who are coming up.  The old way seems to be, 'do it my way' when I say or else.  My idea of circle is people trying new ways and ideas, and adapting them to ourselves and if it works, do it.

My friend who was taught old way went to a reputable sanctuary and after giving a demonstration with proof of life after death she was told to go home and start doing clairvoyance from the beginning, she had been a medium for about 20 years at this point and is one of the few mediums I turn to Spiritually or materially.  She was very upset and it knocked her confidence.  What was her crime?  What was so terrible?

She had her eyes closed when giving clairvoyance.

I was lead to believe that the point of Spiritualism, clairvoyance and everything is to 'prove life after death', she had done that.  She was told you can’t give proof with your eyes closed but she had just done that.  My way is you can stand on your head, sing ‘God save the queen’ while playing the bagpipes as long as you bring through proof.

I have an advantage in the fact my friend is taught old way but is very open minded and although we don’t always agree, she listens to my ideas and thoughts and takes on the ones she feels is right for her but allows me to keep my ideas and thoughts that is why we work well together.  We have some good discussions and I feel that is the way it should be.

There is a lot of good in the old ways but we have to move on, what is right for you might not be right for me.  There is room for everybody.

One last bit of wisdom:-

Just because someone says they are a Spiritualist doesn’t make them Spiritual, just as being in Spiritualism for 30 years doesn't mean you know everything but they should be given respect for their contributions and their advancement with the Spiritualist movement, they are pioneers.
