Responsibility
This is very
important especially if you are truly working for Spirit. If you are genuine in
your Spirit work you will have a true need not to hurt another soul.
I am not saying we
are all perfect, far from it and if we were perfect we wouldn’t be here but we
do try not to deliberately hurt another soul.
I believe
responsibility is just common sense.
-
Don’t tell anyone anything you
wouldn’t like to hear yourself.
-
Never predict a death
(that
person might have a heart attack worrying about what you have told them).
-
Never just come out with ‘A
child who was abused’ or ‘you tried to kill yourself’, especially in a public
meeting. Re phrase it e.g. ‘someone who had a bad childhood?’ or ‘someone has
been having silly thoughts’. Be tactful some souls are very fragile.
Think
before you speak.
-
Try to be uplifting. If
something unpleasant comes up don’t avoid it just try to give them something
good that may come out of it or tell them how to avoid the situation.
-
We do not predict the future because
everyone has
free choice.
-
If you don’t get anything admit it, there is
nothing wrong with this, it happens,
just be honest.
-
If you don't understand what
you are getting, say what you see, it is for the sitter to understand the
message.
-
Never tell anyone else what you get in a
reading, it is the sitters
personal business.
-
Don't get too personal in public
situations e.g. churches, or groups.
-
If you get personal always tell
the sitter, then they can decide if they want you to carry on, especially in
public situations or agree to speak to them after the demonstration.
-
You can be
prosecuted if you tell someone to leave their
partner.
-
Don't link into someone unless they have
asked because it is an
invasion on their privacy. If in a
Spiritualist Church everyone knows they can get a reading on a bus they
have not agreed.
-
We can lie to other people, we
can lie to ourselves but we can never lie to spirit.
I will think of more
things to add on but at the moment they are not coming to me, if you can think
of anything I have missed and you feel is important let me know and I will add
it on.

Update
Men have to be more
careful when healing due to the fact it may be taken the wrong way if it is a
female they are healing at the time. To avoid any situations you can ask
them to put their hand over their chest area or stomach and ask if it is alright
to put your hand over the top of theirs, this can avoid any unpleasantness.
S.N.U. recently changed
the way they work, now they do not kneel in front of the person if they are
healing the legs, they sit at the side of the person and place hands on them
that this, this avoids any unpleasant situations, such as seeing up a woman's
skirt.
